Do you need to “prepare” for a boudoir session? And if so — how?
The short answer is yes, but not in the way most people expect.
Preparing for boudoir isn’t about weight, tanning, new lingerie, or “fixing” yourself. It’s about the state you arrive in.
What doesn’t really matter

— body shape
— experience in front of the camera
— “perfect” skin
— knowing how to pose

These are technical details the photographer works with. They don’t define the result.
What actually matters

Rest matters more than anything else — not for how it looks, but for how it feels. Tension shows up in photos faster than any physical detail.

Less pressure leads to better images. Boudoir doesn’t work as a self-improvement project. The fewer expectations you bring, the more honest the result.

It helps to know why you’re coming, and to keep that reason personal. Even a simple intention — like wanting to see yourself without filters — is enough.

That’s more than enough for a powerful session.
